The Times They Are A-Changin'

I have been so very, very busy, I could not blog. Sad! Anyway, I hope to make up for lost time.

Whoever, would have thought, they'd give Bob Dylan a Pulitzer? I atleast stuck to him, even when it wasn't fashionable to. I just hope he doesn't kick the bucket before I can see him.

I am baffled by my apparently good friends who get married and don't think it fit to inform me, leave alone invite me. Has happened twice this year! I would have felt worse, if other people in my gang were invited, but they too were not. I'm sure my spinsterhood would not cast a shadow on their lives. Anyway! Such is life. One lives and learns.

Another thing that really annoys me is how after marriage, women adopt their husbands friends as their own and ignore their friends until their husbands cheat on them or they separate or get divorced. I have few friends who have not done this, and every time any of my still single friend ties the knot, in my heart, I bid her a fond farewell.

So very true, why do women give up a part of their lives when they meet a man / get married?

Note...the men don't do it though.

i think women in general are always under pressure to 'fulfill their destined role' of a caregiver, which means putting herself in a secondary position, in the process her parental family, friends and her own identity becomes insignificant and non-existent.

of course some women adopt this path to nothingness more eagerly than others
